Tässä taannoin tuli hypisteltyä Paliskuntain yhdistyksellä pientä kirjasta (kuva yllä), jossa esiteltiin oikein napakassa paketissa poro eläimenä, perusasiat poronhoidosta ja poronhoitovuoden kierrosta. Hienoja olivat esitteen kuvatkin. Jos joku on vielä aivan kuin Ö aapisen laidassa kun tulee porosta puhe, niin käy ihmeessä lukemassa esitteen verkkoversio läpi täällä. Esitteen sivuilta löytyy karttakuva paliskunnista, joista me kuulumme Palojärven paliskuntaan (kartalla numero 30).

Paliskuntain yhdistyksen sivuilla on muutenkin ajankohtaista, virallista tietoa ja uutisia liittyen poronhoitoon. Käyhän vilkaisemassa, pääset sinne suoraan tästä.  Pororeseptit.fi -sivustolta taas löytyy kattavasti tietoa poronlihan valmistuksesta, ominaisuuksista ja valmiita reseptejä maukkaiden herkkujen valmistamiseen. Porotilamme emäntää voi myös tarvittaessa konsultoida pororeseptien suhteen!

There is also an excellent map about the reindeer herding cooperatives (paliskunnat). We are part of ’Palojärven paliskunta’, which is number 30 on the map.
